What the recording session includes
Olivevanta records two to four voices with shared monitoring at a round table. Base rates per hour (€82) or per two-hour episode (€245) include rough edit: obvious mistakes out, clean start/end, reasonably matched levels. We do not strip an hour of «um» unless agreed separately.
Microphones and room details are on podcast recording. If guests travel into the city, buffer time for intros helps — we are open Monday–Friday 09:30–21:30, Saturday 10:00–17:00. Closed Sunday; evening sessions by appointment..
When rough edit is enough
News updates, internal briefings, or fixed-format shows with little overlap often finish at rough cut. You know where pauses belong; guests rarely read scripts. Take a WAV or per-speaker stems right after session if you continue in Descript or Reaper yourself.
Confirm intro/outro music rights upfront. We do not register music rights; commercial jingles need your licence or library source. Background on data in recordings: privacy policy.
Tighter edit: content and pace
Interview shows with interruptions, panels talking over each other, or educational series with dead air benefit from tighter editing: remove repeats and tangents, even breaths, light noise reduction, duck music under voice-over.
Budget hours beyond recording; we estimate from raw length and target duration. Share a style guide: keep jokes or not, how fast should pace feel, are «uh» and «yeah» acceptable? If hosts sound hoarse after long takes, see voice care before recording.
Season package for recurring shows
Ten episodes book at €1,950. Useful for Amsterdam-area company shows on a monthly cadence: fixed intro/outro, loudness target, file naming. We align metadata (title, episode number) so your host upload stays tidy.
The pack covers recording and template-based edit; heavy sound design or fiction with many characters needs a custom quote. Cancel free up to 5 days before the first session date.
Loudness for speech
Podcasts often aim at different loudness than music — listeners set volume once, then binge. We keep perceived level steady between hosts and intro without music suddenly jumping. Heavy compression is rarely needed; clarity wins.
Exports for Apple Podcasts, Spotify for Podcasters, or Dutch hosts like PodBean: usually mono or stereo MP3/WAV per host rules. Music mastering guidance lives in streaming loudness guide; do not copy it verbatim for speech.
Remote guests and hybrid
In-room capture sounds best for dynamics, but hybrid is common: guest on cleanfeed or Riverside, hosts at the table. We discuss sync and latency before rolling; glitchy remote tracks may need extra edit time.

Files, archive, and rights
We deliver mixdown plus optional per-mic stems. Raw multitrack stays 18 months, then deletion per privacy. Request copies early if you revisit old seasons.
Hosts must be at least 16 or have guardian consent for youth shows. Commercial clients receive VAT invoices at 21%; B2B terms 21 days where applicable — see terms.
